Ozarks Electric Cooperative

Ozarks Electric Cooperative is a member-owned utility serving homes and businesses across Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma, with fiber internet delivered through its subsidiary, OzarksGo. The cooperative's previous site was deeply nested and built on a limited CMS that blocked customization and automation, leaving the communications team unable to push real-time outage alerts or shape flexible layouts. The team rebuilt ozarksecc.com on Storyblok using BizStream's Web Accelerator for Storyblok. Nestable blocks and a component-based content model gave editors control over layout without developer involvement, while the Visual Editor made in-context editing straightforward for a small team. The bigger technical challenge was live data. The team built a custom outage integration that automatically triggers a homepage banner during events, along with a live outage map and an interactive solar calculator, all delivered through Storyblok's Content Delivery API for fast page loads. Accessibility and SEO improvements were baked into the component library rather than bolted on afterward.
