BayWa r.e. is a global leader in renewable energy and part of BayWa AG. The project's goal was to replace an aging TYPO3 platform with a scalable, headless web ecosystem serving both the corporate brand and diverse country sites. The company aimed to enable multilingual content reuse, localized experiences, and structured editorial workflows for distributed teams. Opting for Storyblok (CMS) and Nuxt, delivered via globally distributed Cloudflare Workers, provided a modern, high-performance foundation with granular permissions and efficient publishing. Strategic integrations—including AdmiralCloud (DAM), translation services, Solr search, and Workday—power key features such as a multi-step Solar Calculator, decision trees, dynamic contact routing, and rich content hubs. The result is a contemporary, flexible, and easy-to-maintain global platform that supports ongoing growth and agile operations.
