The Enterprise Assets Library introduces organization-level Shared Asset Libraries, allowing teams to centrally manage, govern, and reuse assets across multiple Spaces in Storyblok.

The feature introduces:

  • Shared Asset Libraries: Centrally create, organize, and manage assets across your organization
  • Shared Asset Manager: A new Org-level interface for managing libraries, permissions, and governance
  • Multi-space asset sharing: Reuse assets across Spaces within the same region without re-uploading files
  • Library-level permissions: Define read-only or edit access for each connected Space
  • Metadata, tagging, and activity tracking: Maintain consistency, visibility, and governance at scale

Included at no additional cost for Elite Plan Users. Available as a paid add-on for Premium plans.

A new selectedFile property has been added to the story content. It stores the URL and asset metadata — including width, height, and fileSize — of the selected asset variation chosen via a new dropdown. This allows editors to select and transform different asset variations (e.g. from Bynder) directly within the image picker before storing them in Storyblok. Learn More
