Timo Mayer is Executive Board Member at Virtual Identity, a 190-person digital agency with offices in Freiburg, Munich, Porto, and Vienna. Virtual Identity's relationship with Storyblok goes back to 2018, when a major client needed a new CMS for their global website platform — making the agency one of Storyblok's earliest adopters.
As Timo puts it: "We were early adopters of Storyblok and are also a committed contributor with our AI suite to Storyblok's ecosystem. We are delighted to have grown with Storyblok over the years, both in terms of expertise and the size of the projects." That growth culminated in Storyblok naming Virtual Identity one of its few Platinum Partners worldwide in April 2025.
Along the way, Timo and developer Mario Hamann brought Storyblok a proof of concept that led directly to live preview support for Storyblok's Astro integration, and Virtual Identity has built out its own Storyblok AI Suite, including the official DeepL translation app developed in close collaboration with Storyblok and DeepL.
