Dimensions

The Dimensions app manages alternative versions of a story across top-level folders, one per language, region, market, or similar variant. A typical use is a multilingual website: duplicate a story into each language folder, then adjust each copy on its own. The app links corresponding stories across folders, which search engines use to associate localized versions of a page.

This is one of several approaches to internationalization.

Features

The app adds the following actions:

• Clone All duplicates the story into every top-level folder.
• Create Clone duplicates the story into a folder you select.
• Merge All copies the block structure into the corresponding story in every other folder.
• Merge copies the block structure into the corresponding story in a folder you select.
• Overwrite replaces both structure and content in the destination folder.
• Clone and AI Translations duplicates the story and translates its fields with AI assistance.

Individual fields can be set to force overwrite, or excluded from overwrite, merge, or AI translation. Blocks fields are supported, and all actions work in both directions.

Setup

1. Install the app and arrange the space so that each locale has its own top-level folder.
2. Open Settings → Dimensions and select the folders the app may act on.
3. Open a story and select the Dimensions tab from the languages dropdown in the Visual Editor.
