Content Locking

The Content Locking app locks a story when someone starts editing it, and prevents two editors from overwriting each other. Only the first editor can save. The app unlocks the story when that editor saves or leaves the story. Everyone else gets a notice in the Visual Editor.

Setup

Open Settings → Content Locking and enable Automatically unlock a Story after user inactivity. Set the inactivity period and the countdown duration in minutes, and optionally enable the automatic save that runs before the timeout.

When you also use the Autosave app, enable Keep the content locked after autosave in the same settings.
