When you delete fields from a component in your space, it doesn’t remove the schema. Let’s see how to remove a field from a component and schema successfully.

NOTE:

We are using Storyblok v2.

Click on the Story whose field you want to delete, navigate to the field section {1} on the story and click on the delete icon {2} in the field you want to delete.

Next, click on the Save button {3} at the top right and then publish with the Publish button {4}.

You can also delete fields using a script like the tool example listed here. You can also create a custom script using the example listed above, compare it with our component object and remove the fields you want.
