# Star Rating

The Star Rating app adds a field type that records a rating as a row of stars and stores it as a number, for content such as a restaurant, film, or product review. The field returns the value directly, for example `{"fieldname": 4.5}`.

## Features

-   Record a rating through a row of stars.
-   Set how many stars the field shows.
-   Read the rating as a number from the API response.

## Setup

In the **Block Library**, select the block you want to edit, add a field, set its field type to **Plugin**, and set the custom type to `storyblok-star-rating-v2`.

The field takes the following option:

| Option | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `amount` | Number of stars the field shows. Defaults to five. |
