# Inriver

The Inriver app adds a field type for selecting entities from a connected [inriver](https://www.inriver.com/) product information management (PIM) instance and displaying that product data in Storyblok content. Keeping product information in one system reduces the chance of a stale or contradictory detail reaching a channel.

## Features

-   Select inriver entities from within a story.
-   Map inriver fields onto the data stored in Storyblok.
-   Limit how many entities an editor can select.

## Setup

1.  Open **Apps** → **Product Information Management** → **Inriver** and install the app.
2.  In the **Block Library**, add a field to each block that needs product data, set its field type to **Plugin**, and set the custom type to `sb-inriver`. The optional `limit` option caps how many entities an editor can select.
3.  In a story, select **Add entities** or the gear icon, enter the inriver API key and URL, select the entity type, and configure the field mappings.
